FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

We offer competitive rates and flexible scheduling, so you don’t have to worry about anything but getting yourself ready for the big day!

1. What type of customers have you worked with?

We work with every type! From your everyday person and their family to military personnel, government officials, corporations and businesses. As always, we will honor all clients anonymity at their discretion.

2. Are you licensed and insured?

Yes, we are fully licensed under state and federal regulations, and we carry Cargo, Motor Vehicle, and General Liability Insurance for your peace of mind.

3. How would I know if a moving company is legitimate?

According to the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA), a growing number of complaints have been filed against movers lately – many of which are due to the “fraudulent practices… of rogue movers.” Hiring legal, certified movers can minimise the risk of moving-day delays, damages, inflated charges, or loss of possessions.

4. Do you have employees, or do you use temporary workers?

We have W-2 employees and carry workers’ compensation.

5. Can my belongings be temporarily stored at your location?

Yes, we do offer storage services. Please give us a call for more info.

6. Do you have temperature controlled, indoor storage?

We have various options to best suit your needs, from our privatized climate-controlled warehouse to partner self-storage units.

7. Do I still need an estimate?

Every job is different and may require an additional or alternative workforce, trucks, equipment, or services. Therefore, we will be able to give you a more customized recommendation during your quote!

8. Do you also give quotes for long distance moves?

Long-distance and nationwide cross-country moves are quoted on a case-by-case basis in a single all-inclusive flat rate price.

9. How about labor only services?

Yes, we have labor-only crews available if you need heavy lifting or a workforce to help with loading or unloading furniture, trucks, pods, storage units, trailers, shipping containers, and more!

10. Are your quotes binding?

Our quotes are general estimates. They are non-binding and merely an approximation of the cost and time estimate for your move. You are not required to sign the assessment as the move may go over or under the estimated time.

11. Do I need to empty my dresser drawers?

It depends. Suppose there are any breakable items in the drawers. We recommend removing those items. On the other hand, there is no need if there are just clothes and soft objects in the drawers.

12. How far in advance should I schedule my move?

The earlier, the better! 2-4 weeks is what we usually prefer, but if you plan on moving during our peak times which is summer, end of the month or a weekend, please call us 4-6 weeks before your scheduled date.

13. Can the crew members arrange the furniture to my liking in my new home?

Absolutely. Just instruct the crew members on where you want the specifics placed, and we can help. Having a plan in mind before arriving at your new home can save time and money.

14. What if I discovered damaged or missing items?

Our team has been trained to work with utmost care and integrity, and we sure hope that will not be the case. However, if you discover anything missing or damaged, please get in touch with us as soon as possible. We strongly suggest you inspect all your items and furniture the day of the move.

15. How do I change my address?

You can change your address with the US Post Office online.

16. What are your price rates?

There are absolutely no hidden fees, and we never charge fuel or mileage! We offer a simple pricing structure that ensures you are not met with hidden surcharges or any other surprises come delivery day.

17. Do you have hidden fees or charges?

We pride ourselves on having no hidden fees and being all-inclusive.

18. Do I have to pay extra for a moving truck?

No, a moving truck is included in the flat hourly rate. Therefore, there is not an additional fee for one of our 26 ft moving trucks.

19. What are the accepted payment methods?

*We accept all major credit cards, debit cards, check and cash as forms of payment.
* Checks need to be pre-approved by office management prior the move.
*All balances are expected to be paid in full at the time of service when the job is complete. Excluding any deposits paid in advance.
*Please Note: Balances paid with either credit or debit cards will incur a 4% convenience fee.

20. Do you require deposits?

Yes, we do require a non-refundable $250 deposit to ensure that we secure your scheduled day/time and crew members. This deposit is wholly deducted from your total and covers a complimentary reschedule. The reason for the non refundable deposit to ensure that we provide the same great service to all of our customers. We have never missed a scheduled move.

21. Do I tip the movers?

Tipping is never expected but always appreciated! Although our movers are trained to never ask for tips from customers, they are allowed to accept tips should customers feel inclined for the hard work they received. Regarding what amount to tip the movers, we encourage customers to tip whatever they think is necessary.
*Tips are given directly to the movers and do not constitute payment of the bill.

22. What should I keep with me on my moving day?

Keep anything you or your family will use on the day of your move with you. Everyday items include snacks, toilet paper, paper towels, phone chargers, a change of clothes, toothbrush/toothpaste, and your kids’ favorite toys. Additionally, medications, necessary paperwork (e.g., birth certificates and social security cards), and anything highly valuable or sentimental (jewellery, credit cards, bank account information, etc.) should be set aside. Then, on your moving day, place these essential items in a box or bag that you’ll carry with you to your new home.

23. What do I need to do to prepare my appliances for the move?

The moving crew will wrap these items in moving blankets to protect them on the truck. However, it would be best if you made sure that your dishwasher, microwave, and washing machine were empty. Additionally, movers are not electricians or plumbers – you need to arrange for the appropriate professional to disconnect your washer, chandeliers, and refrigerator from any electric and water connection. Most importantly, movers are not licensed to disconnect the gas.

24. Can you give guaranteed pricing?

On Interstate moves, yes, we absolutely can and always do! On moves between points, local moves are charged primarily on an hourly basis, and moves going over 40 miles are billed primarily according to weight. We value your vote of confidence in our company with your hard-earned dollars. Therefore, we will estimate responsibly and with integrity. Our consultation staff will go over time and cost scenarios for your move. There will be no surprises on your final bill with us.
